My mother just pulled some insane recipe from my Aunt Linda’s webpage and said “Family! this is what I’m making for dinner!” And she dashed out to the store. That was a while ago and now it smells amazing and I can smell something sizzling and I’m shocked… there was no menus or delivery boys involved in this meal.

I had a horrible thought
In the shower, as I combed my ever growing black-brown snaky mass of hair I had a sinking thought. Reflecting on expressions and smiles I’ve seen in my life, I’m afraid it’s all false. I have this sinking feeling that a lot of people I love and look up to think of me as more than a bit of a joke. Someone a bit weak and pretty much as useless as a knob on a broken stereo.

Kay Nielsen!
His work is awesome, I love the detail and insane lush-ness. His work is striking and sometimes sad. I found out about him because of the shit-your pants edition of the Little Mermaid, it seems that Disney had Kay Nielsen do some concept art for a short feature that never go made in the 30s.
